Kappa Property Team would like to inform you that as of January 1, 2021 all Estate Agents in Greece are obliged to list the energy efficiency class of a property on sale or rental advertisements.
The energy efficiency class is obtained within an energy performance certificate (EPS).
An EPC is an Energy Performance Certificate which is issued by a certified Energy Assessor.
An EPC gives a property a rating based its energy efficiency and its carbon dioxide emissions.
The ratings for an EPC go from A which is the most efficient to H which is the least efficient and once an EPC has been created it will remain valid for a period of ten years.
An EPC rating is calculated based on the construction of a property, the type of dwelling, the type of boiler, insulation, double glazing and heating systems that are in place.
This certificate must be in line with the Greek Buildings Energy – Efficiency Regulation requirements (KENAK).
We would like to inform all our clients who wish to advertise their properties with KAPPA PROPERTY TEAM to obtain this certificate and to provide a legal copy to us as for us to be able to advertise the property.
In compliance with circular: Subject: clarifications on the implementation of Law 4122/2013 on the energy efficiency of buildings (sec. 8 advertisement of properties) .
